As the principal founder of Insights Research Group (IRG)
Scott provides vision and effective leadership for this
expanding market research organization. Using his proven
experience in combining market research understanding
with knowledge management processes, he develops research-based
business solutions.
Scott previously established Food Insights, a nationally
recognized marketing and consumer research consulting
firm that services the foodservice industry. Prior to
Food Insights, Scott served as Corporate Director of Food
and Beverage Operations for Allen & O'Hara, managing
an award-winning national foodservice division. During
Scott's 15 year tenure he was twice nominated for the
prestigious IFMA Silver Plate Award
Scott has provided successful consultation services to
organizations such as The Ritz Carlton, Best Western,
John Q. Hammons Hotels, Avendra, Sodexho-Marriott, ARAMARK,
Cornell and Rutgers University.

Judy
Patton
Senior
VP, Marketing Research

Judy has 17 years of marketing research expertise, having
specialized for 11 years in business-to-business and consumer
marketing research for the automotive, personal care,
and food service industries. She was a key member of the
Saturn start-up team during the six years of research
preceding vehicle production. During this time, she also
helped General Motors develop new research methodologies
for product development and customer satisfaction.
As a co-founder of Food Insights and Insights Research
Group, Judy now directs the premier marketing research
division that assists clients such as Brinker International,
Sara Lee, Lipton, and Heinz. Her methodology includes
in-depth one-on-one interviews, focus groups, quantitative
surveys and custom combined techniques. Judy's ability
to uncover the key motivators that drive people's decisions
have made her a unique asset to Insights Research Group.
Judy is an active member of IFMA, NACAS, NACUFS, and the
Marketing Research Association.

Marcy
Larson
Vice
President

Marcy Larson, Vice President,
has extensive experience developing innovative products
and strategies and marketing them through distribution
channels including Foodservice, Retail and DSD. She has
worked in a variety of business management and new product
development positions. In addition, she has led cross-functional
joint venture teams in the development, distribution and
marketing of foodservice products. She has been instrumental
in helping her clients attack new markets by providing
significant knowledge about market potential and the customers
in these new industries.
Currently, Marcy is charged with delivering marketing
consulting services to our clients. In this role, she
has helped clients enter new industries with the customer
and market knowledge necessary to succeed. She has also
led the development of strategic plans and helped companies
better understand their customer base. Earlier in her
career, Marcy had been responsible for the development
of annual and long-range business plans and the execution
of all initiatives needed to deliver planned volume and
profit for businesses at a variety of larger companies
including Sara Lee and Bristol Myers Squibb.
As a marketing professional, Marcy has built customer
segmentation models in the food industry. In one case
this strategic understanding led to an organizational
realignment of the business categories. She has also
developed new products from concept to introduction
including volume and profit projections, product development,
marketing plan development and introduction. Marcy has
extensive experience in identifying opportunity, formulating
products and developing programs to capitalize on them.
Marcy is a graduate of Colgate University and earned
a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration
in Marketing from Kennan Flagler School of Business
at University of North Carolina.

Robert "Bob" Bassett, Vice
President of Purchasing for Food Insights, has over 23
years of Food, Beverage and Hotel experience. He is responsible
for business development of Food Insights purchasing clients.
Bassett's expertise and experience in purchasing and compliance
ensures corporate and unit level objectives are achieved
by optimizing the procurement process. He has a record
in integrating technology, people, and information with
standardized procurement and control procedures across
the organization to drive quality and reduction of "total
costs."
Bassett's focus on improving efficiencies has enhanced
the purchasing services, now offered by Food Insights
for full and limited service hotels and food service operations.
Bassett continues to focus on the improvement of management
processes that offer increased control, accountability
and sustained savings to meet the needs of the end users
- Food Insights clients.
After beginning his career in Food and Beverage management
for Brookshire Hotels and then Sheraton Charleston Hotel,
he was promoted to hotel general manager of the Sheraton
Charleston Hotel and then the Sheraton Hotel in Asheville,
North Carolina. Bassett was later promoted to Corporate
Director of Purchasing for the RFS Hotel portfolio of
70 hotels headquartered in Memphis; TN. Following the
merger of the Promus Hotel/Doubletree organization Bassett
assumed the Corporate Director of Purchasing responsibilities
for Promus Hotels in Memphis, TN., where he developed
and managed the preferred supplier programs used for operating
supplies, equipment and service categories by the 1,100
hotel portfolio. Prior to Food Insights, Bassett was Corporate
Director of Purchasing for Flagstone Hospitality Management,
a portfolio of 56 hotels in Memphis where he was responsible
for establishing procurement procedures with cost reductions,
and ultimately improving the organization's financial
and operational performance.
A recognized member of the supply management and hospitality
industries, Bassett is a member of the Institute for Supply
Management (ISM). Additionally Bassett is in the process
of obtaining the Certified Hospitality Administrator (CHA)
certification from the American Hotel Association and
the Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) certification through
the (ISM).
